MUMBAI: City based animal activists have joined hands with animal lovers from other parts of the country to meticulously collate fresh photo and video evidence of a latest killing of 40 dogs in the Kannur district of Kerala on August 22. This fresh evidence will be further attached to the recent PILs filed in Supreme Court against the illegal mass culling of dogs in Kerala.
The dogs had reportedly been poisoned by some local people at Kannur.
''While it is shocking to know that 40 more dogs were killed on Saturday at a place called Tana in Kannur district, this time we have managed to collect concrete evidence of the killings which will strengthen our cause against animal cruelty in the court,'' said Mumbai based activist Anand Siva. He along with several others had recently also organized worldwide demonstrations against the mass killing of dogs in the state of Kerala.
