ENDTIME CHRONICLES

even if you are paranoid, this doesn't mean that you are NOT being followed.

Hitler's attack on Russia was a pre-emptive strike. Josef Stalin had planned an attack in the West, as a first step for spreading communism in Europe, with military means.

His armies were ready. Thousands of tanks an warplanes have been build and secretly moved to Western-Russia.

At that moment the development of the European war as an upstart for World War 2, was unclear. Russia had invaded the Eastern Polish provinces after the Nazis defeating Poland. France and England declared war on Nazi-Germany, as protectors of Polish peace and soverenity. In fact, they should have declared war on the Soviet-Union, but they did not.

Stalins attack on Hitler would even make them allies. Nazi-Germany was the only military force, blocking the way of the Red Army.

Hitler had warned for a situation like this, in which Germany would have to fight a war on two seperate fronts. Like the situation in World War One.

The only chance Hitler had was to attack Russia by surprise.

The success of the German forces was due to the fact, that the Red Army was ready to attack. The Nazi-tanks simply broke through defense-lines and encircled whole Soviet armies. They took millions of prisoners of war.

On the other hand, organising Operation Barbarossa is an immense undertaking. The attack took the preparation of millions of soldiers, more than 3000 tanks and as many warplanes. The divisions had to be supplied with spare-parts, transport (horses or cars), food, munition, clothing and of course reserves, to fill up the ranks. The plan most have been worked on for years. Allied forces, like Italy, Bulgaria and Romenia, took part in the Operation Barbarossa. A desperate Nazi-attack, that almost succeeded.
