COVER QU'RAN

The cover of many printed Islamic holy books, the Qu'ran,

is a depiction of the Kaaba-stone in Mecca.

When Mohammed conquered Mecca, he removed all the pagan idols, relics and in the main temple, except for the Kaaba-stone. This stone is a large black meteorite, cast in silver and it fulfills a big function during the hajj

Pilgrims circle the stone 7 times and in the end, they want to kiss the Kaaba stone. According to Muslim-tradition, the stone washes away your sins.

The stone is supposed to speak to the believer at important and critical moments; personally, but also for the future of Islam
