HISTORY OF THE END OF THE WORLD
THE FIRST ARRIVAL
After her graduation, Laura had travelled the world. When she got bored, anxious or felt threatened, Laura moved on.
It all happened, when she was in her mid-thirties and working a teacher at the English Institute in the capital of Mexico. During a staff-outing in the rainforest, she walked into an ancient Aztec statue of Tlaloc, the Raingod.
That was not that special. The area was, 1600 years ago, a vibrant Indian city. In the middle lay the stepped piramid, dedicated to Kukulkan, a Aztec supreme being and the jungle was littered with monuments, step-pyramids and ritual avenues.
All overgrown with plants and trees, that hid them from the eye. What was special was the fact, that the statue was crying. The divine tears had formed a tiny stream, that disappeared down-hill.
Laura was on her own, tracking in the dense jungle, and the dripping monument seemed to paralyse her. And it was not only that. In a flash she realised, that this was only the beginning. Images of other crying statues came by. From all over the world. This was message meant for her. It showed her, without any doubt, that the End Times had begun. This was the beginning of a “biblical” Flood. The cleansing of the planet had begun. Atlantis will rise from the shadows.
For Laura it was a definite wake-up call and she immediately booked a seat on a plane back home, to Amsterdam. Finally she camped for three days on the airport. It was closed, due to the rain.

Soon she settled in Amsterdam. She found a small appartment and a job. She almost forgot her vision of Atlantis and made new friends.
A second incident was necessary to get her on the move.
One early mornin. Suddenly shots were fired. , when she was walking to the boutique she worked. Instinctively she immediately hid behind the stscked chairs of a small restaurant. A scene from a movie, developed before her eyes. An elderly man, dressed in black and carrying a rucksack, ran across the street directly towards her. He ran fast and didn't look across his shoulder. Instead he looked directly at her. close before Laura's hide-out the fugitive stopped, threw her a package and said clearly: Take care of this for me. I will contact you; if possible”.
Automatically Laura nodded, grabbed the package and put it in her handbag. When he looked up, the man had disappeared and the street filled with police-man and security-guards. They cclearly had no idea where their prey had gone.
Laura expected his return all day, but nothing happened. She stored the package in a drawer. Strangely enough she did not feel an urge to open her “gift”. What did happen was her growing restlessness. She started hating big-city life. The noise, the stenge, the hidden dangers and pressure. People acted flatliners, totally absorved by a false ego and destructive consumerism. She started dreaming of a far away place, till one morning she woke up with the name of her destiny. That same morning she took the bus, to be welcomed, though she was a complete stranger.
