Student: “Master, I heard Master Jian say , that the Dome of the Rock is a hot-spot in future events. Decisive battles would be fought over it, real ones and spiritualistic confrontations. Why Master, is this Dome so important?”

“It is not the Dome, that is so important, but what is under the Dome: the Rock!

This is the most important piece of a mountain in Islamic, Judean and Christian worldview. Supposedly on that spot, God created the world, did Adam and Eve dwell and was Abraham willing to slice the throat of his son in obedience of Jahweh.

Mohammed visited the stone and had a vision of Heaven. And these are just a few of the stories. When the Islamic jihad engulfed Palestine, the Muslim-rulers ordered the Dome to be build. It was done by Byzantine, christian masons and builders. There is also a second Dome on that same spot.”

Student: ”A second Dome, Master? I am surprised to hear that. Please, tell me more about it.”

Master: “According to tradition and by biblical accounts, this was place, where the first Temple was build. It was here that the famous Arc of the Covenant was kept. This place too is marked by a Dome, the Dome of the Tablets.”

Student: “Master, why is it called this way?”

Master: “The tablets were kept inside the Arc. There were 2 of them, that contained the 10 commandments, given to Moses on mount Sinai, by Jaweh, the God of the Isrealites. The Dome of the Tablets marks the place, where the Arc of the Covenant once stood.”

Student: “Thank you, Master.”
