HARLINGEN – Joop van der Heide uit Harlingen stuurde de Franeker Courant een ingezonden brief. Hij verhaalt over de raadsvergadering van woensdag 8 oktober met betrekking tot de windmolendiscussie. Hieronder zijn brief.
Een lid van de VVD in de raadsvergadering van woensdag 8 oktober: “Ik zie een contraire beweging, in het kader van het rapport Winsemius, die een cluster windmolens aan de Waddendijk bij Harlingen situeert.” Contraire is overigens een ander woord voor tegenovergestelde beweging en wordt vooral gebruikt in de financiële wereld als een kenmerk van het koersverloop van bijvoorbeeld aandelen.
Een wethouder is vervolgens ontdaan en geschoffeerd door de plannen van de commissie Winsemius. Kortom ook Harlingen draagt een steentje bij in de windmolendiscussie,  die inmiddels ontaard is in zware tegenstellingen. Daarbij gaat het niet meer energiebesparende maatregelen, maar vooral om ‘horizonvervuiling en aantasting van het weidse Friese landschap’.
De VVD is erkend tegenstander van windmolens en kennelijk sluit Harlinger Belang zich daarbij aan. Diezelfde VVD is enthousiast over de afvalverbrander die aan diezelfde Waddendijk, waar windmolens zijn gedacht, zijn afvalstoffen uitbraakt.
Diezelfde VVD is ook voorstander van het weer oppoetsen van kerncentrale’s om op die manier fossiele brandstoffen uit te sparen. Ik vind het een kwalijke zaak dat volksvertegenwoordigers zo gemakkelijk omgaan met de gezondheidsbelangen van burgers en zo gemakkelijk omgaan met het uitputten van de aarde, waarbij toekomstige generaties het kennelijk maar moeten uitzoeken. Dat vind ik nu schokkend en daarvan ben ik ontdaan.
Wat mij betreft kunnen er niet genoeg contraire bewegingen ontstaan, die er voor zorgen dat we voldoende energie over houden voor onze kinderen, kinds kinderen, etcetera, etcetera.
