A year after the devastating war on Gaza, thousands of children are still sleeping in the rubble of their homes.

Even though it is a clear violation of international law, Israel’s blockade has restricted basic building materials going in. But no child should be made to live in the ruins of their home, study with bomb blasts through their classrooms, or not get basic health care because clinics have been destroyed.

De beweging van duizenden werkende jongeren heeft de afgelopen maanden met spraakmakende acties een duidelijke boodschap afgegeven aan de maatschappij, de politiek en het bedrijfsleven: 18-plussers verdienen een volwassen loon! Die boodschap stond ook in de petitie die jij, samen met 130.000 anderen, ondertekende en die we op 11 juni aan minister Asscher hebben overhandigd. De minister kondigde toen aan het jeugdloon in het najaar in de Tweede Kamer te bespreken. Laten wij Asscher een handje helpen en ervoor zorgen dat een meerderheid van de Tweede Kamer achter de voorstellen van Young & United gaat staan. Vier partijen (PvdA, GroenLinks, SP en 50+) hebben dat al gedaan, maar de meeste andere partijen moeten nog kleur bekennen. Geef ze het laatste zetje om het jeugdloon vanaf 18 van tafel te vegen. MUMBAI: City based animal activists have joined hands with animal lovers from other parts of the country to meticulously collate fresh photo and video evidence of a latest killing of 40 dogs in the Kannur district of Kerala on August 22. This fresh evidence will be further attached to the recent PILs filed in Supreme Court against the illegal mass culling of dogs in Kerala.

The dogs had reportedly been poisoned by some local people at Kannur.

''While it is shocking to know that 40 more dogs were killed on Saturday at a place called Tana in Kannur district, this time we have managed to collect concrete evidence of the killings which will strengthen our cause against animal cruelty in the court,'' said Mumbai based activist Anand Siva. He along with several others had recently also organized worldwide demonstrations against the mass killing of dogs in the state of Kerala.
